STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE 2:
ENSURE A RESEARCH-TRAINING ENVIRONMENT CENTERED ON GRADUATES WHO ARE JOB-READY
Our research training program will enable HDR students to develop employable skills through a variety of customized methods. TIU wants its HDR graduates to be prepared for the workforce, and it does this by giving students chances and support throughout their studies. By concentrating on creating avenues for graduates into the public and private sectors as well as academics, we intend to respond to changes in the labor market. Through the higher degree research support series, we start focusing on employability early in the first semester of enrollment. Opportunities and activities are also accessible at different points throughout the candidacy. TIU University’s Career Development Center offers specialized one-on-one assistance to HDR students.
| Strengths | Weaknesses | Opportunities | Threats |
| • Through the recruitment and
development of a broad set of
academic professionals, TIU
continuously strives to enhance the
number of qualified supervisors on
our team. • We give priority to employing qualified HDR candidates by offering very competitive scholarships and, when appropriate, by giving HDR students the chance to teach. • To ensure a retention rate of at least 90%, performance during research training is continuously evaluated. |
• Lack of HDR students willing to work
cooperatively with others and across
disciplines to enhance their careers • a limited number of supervisors available and an unequal allocation of students among them |
• By concentrating on the workload and
timely completions, faculty members
will be able to draw in applications for
worldwide HDR programs. • We lift our HDR students to the top with thorough induction sessions, providing us the opportunity to attract several recruiting industries to give our students more opportunities. |
• Due to the regulatory body's inability
to open the programs each year, we
are unable to offer a variety of
master’s and Doctoral degrees,
including applicable Doctoral degrees that are aligned with industry needs. • We may be able to obtain foreign funds with a larger student body and annual enrollment through transnational and diverse research teams. • While TIU generally outperforms rival universities in the region, several are attempting to improve the academic climate at their own institutions. Despite the fact that funding for research training and scholarships can vary. Increasing competition from universities and research institutions (organizations) with larger economies of scale in regional and international contexts |
