10th Meeting of TIU-Research Center

The 10th meeting of TIU-Research Center was held on Tuesday, 18th June 2019. The meeting was led by Prof. Dr Faiq Hussain the director of the research centre, with attending coordinators of all faculties. Important points were discussed including publications in scientific journals that are following the guidelines of the Kurdistan Region ministry of higher education. And submitting several projects from the faculty of Engineering.

  On December 11th, a presentation about a project under the title of ( Bioactive flavonoid fractions from leaves of Olea europaea and Azadirachta indica for management of hyperglycemia ), has been presented by Dr. Javed Ahmad ( Coordinator of Pharmacy Faculty ). The importance of the project is that; its designed to isolate flavonoid rich fractions from leaves of Olea europaea and Azadirachta indica and standardize by HPLC method using specific flavonoid markers with respective plants and evaluate these flavonoid fractions for the effective antihyperglycemic activity by in-vitrocarbohydrate metabolizing enzyme inhibition assays.
