The TIU Research Center is pleased to announce a new opportunity for academic research collaboration with the European University RAK Campus (Ras Al Khaimah, UAE). Following productive discussions between the two institutions, the collaboration will focus exclusively on research-oriented activities to strengthen international scholarly partnerships and enhance research output.
The collaboration will begin as a no-cost academic partnership, with both institutions working together to produce high-quality research and pursue internationally funded research opportunities. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to academic excellence and sustainable research collaboration without any commercial or financial expectations.
Collaboration Opportunities
Faculty members, researchers, assistant lecturers, and research assistants at TIU are invited to participate in collaborative activities, including:
- Joint research papers indexed in Scopus and Web of Science;
- Systematic literature reviews and high-quality review articles;
- Interdisciplinary research projects;
- Joint applications for international research funding;
- Patent- and innovation-related research collaborations, where appropriate;
- Conference presentations, special journal issues, and research seminars;
- Research methodology and publication support sessions for interested academic staff.
Priority Research Areas
Based on the research strengths and strategic priorities of both institutions, the initial collaboration will focus on several overlapping research fields, including:
- Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

Researchers from other disciplines with interdisciplinary research ideas are also encouraged to express their interest.
Next Steps
Following the identification of interested researchers from both institutions, an online matchmaking meeting will be organized to connect researchers with similar interests, discuss potential research topics, and establish collaborative research teams. The objective is to initiate concrete scholarly outputs, including joint publications, research proposals, and externally funded projects.
Call for Expressions of Interest
The TIU Research Center invites all interested faculty members, researchers, assistant lecturers, and research assistants to submit brief proposals for research collaboration or expressions of interest. Researchers are encouraged to indicate:
- Their research area(s) of expertise;
- Potential research topic(s) for collaboration;
- Current or planned research projects suitable for international collaboration;
- Interest in joint publications, research funding applications, or innovation and patent-related studies.
Interested colleagues are kindly requested to send their proposals or expressions of interest to the TIU Research Center. The Research Center will coordinate communication with the European University RAK Campus and facilitate the formation of joint research teams.
